People ALWAYS overthink things ESPECIALLY films, heres a perfect example. 1st off its NOT a cars spin off you morons, that was cars this is PLANES!! The main, no wait the ONLY thing a movie has to do is ENTERTAIN and sorry Charlie this movie is extremely entertaining. We all love it and the 3d bluray is fantastic so ignore the haters, dont compare it to anything and rate it based on 1 thing was it entertaining. A solid 8.5 thus the 9!!

Dusty Crophopper dreams of being a racer, he finally gets his big chance, but danger awaits. Planes mixes great humor, amazing creative visuals, and a good message filled storyline. I think people are just expecting too much from Disney, not every movie is a great princess story or song filled musical with beautiful lyrics, but the kids will still love it as will adults if they pull their sticks out of their butts. Cars 2 might have been disappointing but Planes REALLY surprised me. It also has a great ethnic diversity, so nobody can complain about that. Another Disney film deserving of classic status. Bravo Disney. Bravo!

Yes, it's a generic movie, but what they don't tell you is just how fascinatingly generic. It's like a story deliberately contrived to demonstrate plot formulae without having the pressure to actually be that good. As if it were written by an algorithm. Richly envisioned with its exotic landscapes and interesting vehicle-people. I suspect for the observant it's hilarious to poke the thousand holes that inevitably come with the premise. Highlight for me is that Quebecois plain getting amorous because lipstick stuff is kind of my *. It's a good one.

I am not keen on watching animation movies...and will never "compare" one with the other but boy, did i enjoy it. This movie might be for kids, but even as an adult, i truly enjoyed it...Also, this has nothing to do with "country" vs "country", but entering a Plane-Race, and let the best man win. It also has a very good story-line in my opinion based on the fact that each "character" has his/her own personality and how they communicate with each other through the movie. It has a bit of everything. Kid will surely love it, cause THIS movie must not been seen as WHERE IS THIS or WHERE IS THAT"-fault inside the movie itself...but as "entertaining". Congrats to the film makers and voice characters...good movie and a must-watch in my eyes
